Lucid Dermatology

At Lucid Dermatology, our Medical Team has extensive experience and expertise in the diagnosis and treatment of many common skin conditions including, but not limited to, Acne, Eczema, and Psoriasis.

Our unique approach to these common skin conditions results in short appointments with our dedicated Dermatology Team. We also use state of the art equipment to detect and treat numerous skin cancers including Basal Cell Carcinoma, Squamous Cell Carcinoma, and Malignant Melanoma.

Our goal is to help you achieve glowing, healthy skin for the rest of your life.

With over 90% of melanomas arising from a benign growth, the technological advancement of dermoscopy has enabled dermatologists to more accurately assess suspicious lesions and provide treatment. Once we observe your skin cancer screening results, one of our Board Certified Dermatology Providers will formulate a personalized treatment plan for your condition.

Lucid Dermatology partners with dermatologists nationwide in the analysis of skin cancers, skin infections and other inflammatory dermatoses. We work with a network comprised of highly trained, board-certified dermatopathologists who offer a full range of diagnostic services including immunohistochemistry (IHC), immunofluorescence (IF), fluorescent in-situ hybridization (FISH) and other molecular genetic studies necessary to provide our clients with quality diagnostic reports.

Cancerous lesions can go undetected for many years if regular skin checks are missed. Early detection and surgical excision can reduce the recurrence of your skin cancer by as much as 90 percent.

Mole Removal

Treatment of non-cancerous/cancerous lesions is performed via surgical excisions primarily on the body and MOHS micrographic surgery primarily on the face and backs of hands.

MOHS allows the surgeon to remove the cancerous cells while retaining the most amount of healthy tissue.

Acne Treatment

At Lucid Dermatology we take acne very seriously. Causes of acne vary from patient to patient and are often multifactorial. It is therefore important that you have a comprehensive evaluation by your provider so that they can make appropriate recommendations including topical treatments like antibiotics and retinoids, systemic treatments like oral antibiotics and Accutane, over the counter products and other recommendations depending on the cause of your acne.

We also offer a variety of in house services like steaming, blackhead extractions, chemical/physical exfoliation and much more.

If you suffer from rosacea, you are not alone. One in every 20 Americans has been diagnosed with this common skin condition. While rosacea symptoms range in severity, many patients experience moderate to severe flushing and bumps which can cause emotional stress and make social interactions difficult. At Lucid Dermatology, our goal is to minimize rosacea symptoms in-office so patients can feel more confident and comfortable.

Xtrac UVB Light Therapy

Lucid Dermatology provides UVB light therapy utilizing state-of-the-art Xtrac laser technology to effectively address a range of dermatological conditions. Our specialized treatments encompass a diverse spectrum, encompassing but not limited to psoriasis, dermatitis/eczema, vitiligo, and various inflammatory disorders. At Lucid Dermatology, our overarching objective is to deliver impactful solutions aimed at enhancing both the condition and quality of life of our valued patients.

Psoriasis is a persistent inflammatory condition that often presents as scaly patches of skin commonly on the elbows, knees, hands and scalp but can present in many other body locations. It is an inflammatory condition that can have broader implications beyond the skin including to the joints and the heart.

Dermatitis, also known as a rash, can be highly variable. Causes of dermatitis include eczema and contact dermatitis but are not limited to these diagnoses. Your Lucid Dermatology provider will use the clinical presentation and history and sometimes a skin biopsy to identify and treat appropriately.

Vitiligo is a condition where the skin loses its pigment cells (melanocytes). This results in depigmented patches in different areas of the body, including the hair, skin and mucous membranes.

Keloids are thick raised scars. They may occur wherever one has a skin injury or inflammation and usually form on earlobes due to piercings, trunk and face due to acne, or any other inflammatory insults.

At Lucid Dermatology we offer a variety of treatments depending on the size, location and history of your keloids.

Skin Infections & Infestations

Bacterial skin infections often begin as small, red bumps that slowly increase in size. Some bacterial infections are mild and easily treated with topical antibiotics, but other infections require an oral antibiotic. Bacterial skin infections usually occur on areas of the skin exposed to the environment — face, arms, hands and legs — but they can occur anywhere on the body.

Lucid Dermatology provides non-invasive treatment for fungal infections. Using state of the art technology and products, our licensed medical professionals treat these conditions and restore healthy skin, allowing us to help you get your life back.

Parasitic skin infections can be common in travelers from remote regions. Please let your provider know if you have been traveling or plan to travel.

Viral skin infections can be transferred person to person via direct contact of infected skin. Many viral infections are mild, with symptoms that disappear after the infection subsides. Other viral infections can cause severe or even life-threatening illnesses. At Lucid, we treat a variety of viral infections promptly and efficiently.

Alopecia (Hair Loss)

Alopecia is an umbrella term used to describe any type of hair loss that affects men and women. There are many different types of alopecias, including, but not limited to,  androgenic alopecia, alopecia areata, alopecia totalis, alopecia universalis, traction alopecia, lichen planopilaris, frontal fibrosing alopecia, central centrifugal cicatricial alopecia, and much more. At Lucid Dermatology, we prioritize understanding the unique causes of your hair loss through a detailed history and thorough physical examination.
